Amy O'Connor, M.S.
Amy has recently returned to the Wild Utah Project. She worked with us from 2009-2013, before taking some time off and then joining the ALCU of Utah as their development director for two years. At Wild Utah Project, Amy returns to her roots, as her career began with a Master's degree in biology, followed by eight years of building the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance's membership and outreach efforts. Amy also spent 1996-2013 as an organization development consultant, serving hundreds of nonprofits nationwide. Amy brings with her almost 30 years of nonprofit experience and is eager to support best science to protect and better manage our wildlands and wildlife.
In her spare time, she loves outdoor adventures, including backpacking in southern Utah, exploring Panama's Darien jungle, and sea kayaking amazing places like Alaska's Gulf Coast, British Columbia's Queen Charlotte Islands, and the Greek islands of the Aegean.
