The following page contains a collection of web maps and other mapping applications used for the purpose of the 2018 Fence-retrofitting project. These mapping application can be use to visualize relevant data and results of the GIS analysis currently conducted by the GIS Lab at Wild Utah Project.
Project Area Map
Access this map to see general boundaries of the project and included counties and watersheds (HUC10).
This map shows some of the available datasets that Wild Utah Project is using to conduct GIS analysis to identify and select potential wildlife movement impedance areas.
Parcel Final selection - utah
This map show the results of a cost connectivity model using KDE polygons for Elk and Deer (KDEs derived from GPS collar data) and a cost surface (landscape permeability raster, Theobald et.al. 2012) to determine potential migration paths.
Parcel Pre-selection - Idaho
This map contains the results of a parcel pre-selection using the intersection between wildlife linkages identified by the Idaho Fish and Wildlife Division and parcel data for Franklin Co. Results shown in this map are preliminary and Wild Utah Project is currently requesting additional data in order to conduct a comprehensive analysis for this area of the project.
