Nalini Nadkarni, Ph.D.
Nalini Nadkarni is a Professor of Biology at the University of Utah. She studies the interactions of plants and animals that live in the canopy of tropical and temperate rainforests in Costa Rica and Washington State. She is also a science communicator, with a focus on engaging those who do not or cannot gain access to science in traditional venues, including urban youth, faith-based communities, and art audiences. She has created programs to bring science lectures, conservation projects, and nature imagery to the incarcerated around the country. She loves to hike and snowboard, and she is learning how to turn wooden bowls.
